Up Uranus

Hello Funny One here. Today I drew Uranus. It’s the seventh smallest planet in the solar system and the seventh planet from the Sun. Uranus is mainly composed of ices and rock. It also has 27 moons. The other large planets have extremely hot cores, and radiate infrared radiation. Something made the core of Uranus cool down to the point that it doesn’t radiate much heat. The temperature of the cloud tops on Uranus can drop down to 49 K. It was the first planet discovered by telescope. It spins lying on its  side, like a barrel, this is possibly due to a large collision early in its formation.

I have also drawn a cartoon. I’ll hopefully be doing more, one every day of me trying to get into America. Today’s cartoon is called “Flight Plan”.

#1 Flight Plan

In the cartoon I’m trying to sneak into America in a suitcase. Someone who works there finds the unattended suitcase. He thinks there is a bomb in the suitcase so it gets blown up.

Tank You For The Free Cookies!

Hello, Funny One here. Today’s state is Virginia and the picture is of me at the Chrysler Museum of Art. There is an exhibition of the works of John Miller. He’s an artist that specializes in blown glass sculptures. They will be on display at the Chrysler Museum of Art in conjunction with his working visit to their Glass Studio. This exhibition of his work runs from July 5 – August 26. The food which I’m looking at in the drawing is actually one of his works!

I’m hungry now. Where are the good places to eat? Max & Erma’s, an American Restaurant has FREE COOKIES WEDNESDAYS! Go there on Wednesday and buy anything from the menu and you’ll get 2 FREE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES FREE! Mmmm Chocolate chip cookies. I’m on the next plane over. It’s ok if you don’t live in Virginia as Max & Erma have other branches in the following states: South Dakota, Missouri, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. They also hold Max’s Happy Hour where you can get munchies for $5. Also there are delicious freebies every two weeks. http://www.maxandermas.com/ ; There’s Fellini’s restaurant which is perfect if you want delicious fresh food with so much flavor. They’re not frightened to use garlic or spices that people will remember and  I’m not afraid to try it. Can I have a Free meal there? The Greek pizza sounds delicious. It has fresh sautéed spinach, onions, tomatoes, black olives, mozzarella & feta cheese. Mmmm feta cheese. http://www.fellinisva.com/ordereze/default.aspx

The Hampton Roads Naval Museum is an official recognition museum which is an accredited museum operated by the United States Navy that celebrates the 236 years history of the navy in the Hampton Roads region of Virginia. You’ll even see several artifacts from the cruiser CSS Florida and the sloop-of-war USS Cumberland.

The AAF Tank Museum is the place to check out some really cool tanks. Don’t forget to get a cool army t-shirt at the gift shop! ;The Virginia Museum of Transportation has one of the finest rail collections in all America. There are more than 50 exhibits providing a broad view of Virginia’s rich railway heritage. The most valuable exhibits are the internationally known  Norfolk & Western Class J-611 and the Class A-1218, the most modern steam locomotives ever built. Both of them are “products of the talent and skills of the Norfolk & Western personnel who designed and built these locomotives in the N & W’s own Roanoke Shops.” The Museum’s road exhibits present a history of transportation ranging from horse-drawn vehicles to modern high-powered cars and trucks. Did you know that in 2006, a severe storm blew off part of the museum’s roof, destroying the aviation gallery below? This gave the Museum an opportunity to rebuild the gallery from the ground up. Your financial contribution is needed to help complete the gallery and reopen this important resource.

There’s Nothing Wimpy about South Dakota!!!

Hello, Funny One here. I went to the cinema with my mom and sisters to see the movie “Diary Of A Wimpy Kid 3 – Dog Days” today. It’s so funny! I loved the scene where Rodrick gets the kiss of life from some bald guy! hahahaha You should go see it! It was really busy there. Someone made a shitty smell. I mean really shitty! Think of a really bad shitty smell and times it by ten, then double it! Plus, add a skunk fart and a hint of baby-bio then you’ve got it. Speaking of shit, I almost bought a huge poster of Justin Bieber. I know what you’re thinking. Why the hell would I buy a Justin Bieber poster? I was buying more Batman and Spiderman posters today and the Batman and Bieber ones got mixed up. They both had the number 3 on them. I only discovered it was the wrong poster when I noticed a check shirt on it. Anyways, I put it back and got the right one. Phew!

What can you do in South Dakota? You can see Mount Rushmore. On the 4th of July, there is a firework display from the top of the monument. That would be super cool to see!

You want to know more about the history of South Dakota, then you can visit these places: The Broken Boot Gold Mine, where informed guides will show you where the miners pursued gold ore veins with black powder and candlelight. Also there is the Four Mile Old West Town, Black Hills Caverns, Black Hills Mining Museum, and The Mitchell Prehistoric Indian Village, which is the only archaeological site in South Dakota that is open to the public. You should definitely go then. Visitors to the site will be able to see the many artifacts that have been excavated during the annual digs. You will even be able to have a tour to see the dig site itself in the comfort of the Thomsen Center Archeodome.

Do you like reptiles? If yes then visit the Reptile Gardens. You will see the five reptiles: snakes, crocodilians, lizards, turtles and tuatara. http://www.reptilegardens.com/

Kevin Costner has a bar there! I didn’t know that. It’s called the Midnight Star. Get drunk and look at his movie costumes.

What about teddy bears? If you do there’s the Teddy Bear Town,  and is home to the Guinness World Record’s “Largest Teddy Bear Collection.”  There are over 7,500 different Teddy Bears. Different colors and sizes. It is also listed in Ripley’s Believe It or Not.

There’s even a Corn Palace. It’s open all year round and it’s FREE to visit. I’ll have to go and visit then. It’s never completely bare, so you can always see a building that is the World’s Largest Bird Feeder! Also you can get a Corn Palace T-shirt, Caramel Apple Cobs and even some Corn on the Cob Soap. http://www.cornpalace.org/

What about the candy? There’s a candy store called “Old Fashioned Fudge”, and they have 30 different types of fudge. Mmmmmm fudge.
