Anyways, to find out what will happen next, come back tomorrow.

What are the Funniest Books?

Hello Funny One here. I just discovered the Bastarde books. Serge Bastarde Ate My Baguette: On the Road in Real Rural France and Son of Serge Bastarde: Mayhem in the Antiques Markets of Rural France. The first book, Serge Bastarde Ate My Baguette, John, who moves to France to start up as an antiques dealer, but he doesn’t count on meeting Serge Bastarde. The lovable rogue and brocanteur (secondhand goods dealer) offers to teach John the tricks of the trade in return for help in a series of corrupt schemes. As the pair travel through markets and farmhouses, they con hearty lunches from old peasants and get into scrapes with priceless collectibles. The book is filled with eccentric characters and unlikely adventures, this is a hilarious romp through the real rural France. The son of Serge Bastarde is about John’s unscrupulous yet affable partner in crime, Serge Bastarde, marries and moves to Martinique. But, like a bad penny, Serge returns, his personal life in ruins. What follows is a chaotic adventure which sees John being coerced into striking deals with the Romanian ‘mafia¡’, re-roofing a huge Basque house and getting trapped in a skip in the dead of night, while Serge rides an emotional roller coaster. Serge may be as fake as some of his antiques but, with John’s help, he eventually strikes gold in this laugh-out-loud romp. It makes me wonder if there are any other good funny books out there. I wouldn’t mind knowing. What are the funniest books? Well I love the Diary Of A Wimpy Kid series. So funny. Captain Underpants. George and Harold hypnotize their headteacher and accidentally create the greatest superhero in the history of their school — Captain Underpants! His real identity is so super secret that even HE doesn’t know who he is… but he’s fighting for truth, justice, and all things pre-shrunk and cottony!! Captain Underpants has wedgie-power on his side, and he’s coming your way! Super Diaper Baby is also super funny. A man is turned into a poo. I don’t know whats more funny than that? The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists is also a great book. It’s 1837, and the luxuriantly bearded Pirate Captain and his pirate crew, life on the high seas has gotten a little dull. They get bored and decide it’s time fort another adventure. A surprisingly successful boat raid leads them to the young Charles Darwin, in desperate need of their help. The pirates go to London in a bid to save the scientist from the evil machinations of an evil Bishop. I loved the movie. In the movie the Queen of England is in it instead of the evil bishop. Also another funny book is “The Twits” by Roald Dahl. Mr and Mrs Twit are extremely mean, so the Muggle-Wump monkeys and the Roly-Poly bird hatch a clever plan to give them just the horrifying surprise they deserve! J K Rowling’s new novel “The Casual Vacancy” is a dark comedy. I haven’t read it but I’ll be reading it soon. What are the funniest books? If anyone knows of any good humor books then I would love to know about them. Anyways, I thought as I’m writing about funny books I thought I would turn myself into a wimpy kid character. I also turned Andy Samberg into one too. Hehehehe!

Champagne Bubbles and Popcorn Delights

Hello, It’s me the Funny One. Me and my sister watched Sylvester Stallone movies today. We watched Rocky, Rocky 2 and the Expendables. He really is talented. Rocky Balboa is a really likeable character. I really need to get a job in a pet shop! I’m going to have to watch the rest of the Rocky movies soon.

Today’s state is Colorado. The picture is of me in a hot air balloon, I’m not alone in it as you can see. Hehehehe. The hot air balloon rides take place in the morning, and you can see some of the most wonderful views of Colorado. There’s even a post-flight champagne toast. Mmmmm champagne. Who doesn’t like champagne?

The Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave – the museum has exhibits that focus on the life, times and legacy of William “Buffalo Bill” Cody, telling the story of Buffalo Bill and how his legacy developed. Don’t forget to go to the gift shop for some souvenirs. They have mugs, t-shirts and other stuff. There’s also a cafe. They have homemade fudge. Mmmmm homemade fudge.

The Denver Firefighters Museum  has been housed in the original Firehouse Number 1 ever since 1909. go there and  explore over a century of historical artifacts, fascinating exhibits in  the Museum!

There’s the One Hundred Gold Mine Tour. In 1872, the three Neigold brothers arrived from Germany and staked their claim on the “Number Seven” vein. Reinhard, Gustave, and Otto Neigold then spent the next 30 years prospecting and developing the veins on Galena Mountain. Either before or after the tour, you can pan for real silver, gold and semi-precious gemstones in the sluice boxes outside the mine. And the best bit is that you get to keep what you find!

There’s the Molly Brown House Museum, the home of Titanic survivor Margaret Tobin Brown. It’s one of only a few history organizations in Denver that provides both on-site and off-site educational programming. Included in the guided tours of Margaret “Molly” Brown’s home is an environmental theater program that brings Victorian literature to life, and etiquette teas that lets us know about the cultural customs of the Victorian era. The Off-site traveling programs will include mining, the industrial revolution, the science of restoration, and civic activism.

The Colorado Railroad Museum. Did you know that the main museum building was completed in 1959 and resembles an 1880-era small town railroad depot. The Depot Museum has thousands of rare photographs, artifacts and documents illustrating the colorful history of the railroads which have served Colorado for over 125 years.

Warning: Contains Lots of Blood, Guts and Oregon

Hello, Funny One here. Today’s state is Oregon. The picture is of me at The Haunted Maize and there’s a Pumpkinhead chasing me. The spooky Haunted MAiZE it’s  the original haunted cornfield maze in the region. Enjoy a frightening, dark, spooky trail through a four-acre cornfield maze complete with swamp goblins, creepy animatronics, ghoulish costumed actors, scary sights and horrifying special effects. Spooky!

The Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum is a space-tacular place which features displays ranging from the stylish aeronautic designs of two unknown bike mechanics, the Orville and the Wilbur Wright, to an actual Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird that can fly at amazing speeds of over 2,000 hour miles per hour; The Tillamook Air Museum is where you will see one of America’s best collections of over 30 marvellously restored warbirds including the P – 38 lightning, F4U – corsair, P51 – Mustang, PBY Catalina and the SBD Dauntless dive bomber. Check out the Exhibit hall with all the rare wartime and aviation artifacts! Cool! While you’re at it, go vintage and have lunch at the 40/50’s cafe. They serve burgers, fries, soups, salads, shakes, sandwiches and chili, and hot and cold drinks. Don’t forget to get some souvenirs at the gift shop!

The Rice Northwest Museum of Rocks and Minerals is a gem of a place, home to many amazing and interesting galleries and displays that cover an extremely wide range of geologic wonders. They include Northwest stones such as thunder eggs and sunstones and a vast collection of semi-precious rocks, gems and crystals that include rubies, diamonds, gold, emeralds, sapphires and the famous “Alma Rose” rhodochrosite that’s from Colorado. There is also the “Rainbow Gallery” of natural minerals that emits brilliant colors when energized with ultraviolet “black” light, and see how both the shortwave and the long wave fluorescent lighting shown upon what appears to be relatively colorless stones reveal bright and beautiful colors. This is caused by minerals contained in the rocks that react to the UV lighting. The gallery is always one of the favorite sites to see at the Rice Museum; The John Day Fossil Beds National Monument is another rockin’ place to stop off and learn about rocks. The paleontology division there manages fossil, animal and plant fossils, plus ancient soil and rock samples from geological formations that span over 40 Ma during the Age of the Mammals.

The Sea Lion Caves is nature’s home for wild sea lions and a range of sea birds. The massive cavern with the roar of the great Steller sea lions, the cries of the wailing birds, and the restless surge of the ocean into the cave below, form an experience you won’t forget. A must sea!!!

There’s Nothing Wimpy about South Dakota!!!

Hello, Funny One here. I went to the cinema with my mom and sisters to see the movie “Diary Of A Wimpy Kid 3 – Dog Days” today. It’s so funny! I loved the scene where Rodrick gets the kiss of life from some bald guy! hahahaha You should go see it! It was really busy there. Someone made a shitty smell. I mean really shitty! Think of a really bad shitty smell and times it by ten, then double it! Plus, add a skunk fart and a hint of baby-bio then you’ve got it. Speaking of shit, I almost bought a huge poster of Justin Bieber. I know what you’re thinking. Why the hell would I buy a Justin Bieber poster? I was buying more Batman and Spiderman posters today and the Batman and Bieber ones got mixed up. They both had the number 3 on them. I only discovered it was the wrong poster when I noticed a check shirt on it. Anyways, I put it back and got the right one. Phew!

What can you do in South Dakota? You can see Mount Rushmore. On the 4th of July, there is a firework display from the top of the monument. That would be super cool to see!

You want to know more about the history of South Dakota, then you can visit these places: The Broken Boot Gold Mine, where informed guides will show you where the miners pursued gold ore veins with black powder and candlelight. Also there is the Four Mile Old West Town, Black Hills Caverns, Black Hills Mining Museum, and The Mitchell Prehistoric Indian Village, which is the only archaeological site in South Dakota that is open to the public. You should definitely go then. Visitors to the site will be able to see the many artifacts that have been excavated during the annual digs. You will even be able to have a tour to see the dig site itself in the comfort of the Thomsen Center Archeodome.

Do you like reptiles? If yes then visit the Reptile Gardens. You will see the five reptiles: snakes, crocodilians, lizards, turtles and tuatara. http://www.reptilegardens.com/

Kevin Costner has a bar there! I didn’t know that. It’s called the Midnight Star. Get drunk and look at his movie costumes.

What about teddy bears? If you do there’s the Teddy Bear Town,  and is home to the Guinness World Record’s “Largest Teddy Bear Collection.”  There are over 7,500 different Teddy Bears. Different colors and sizes. It is also listed in Ripley’s Believe It or Not.

There’s even a Corn Palace. It’s open all year round and it’s FREE to visit. I’ll have to go and visit then. It’s never completely bare, so you can always see a building that is the World’s Largest Bird Feeder! Also you can get a Corn Palace T-shirt, Caramel Apple Cobs and even some Corn on the Cob Soap. http://www.cornpalace.org/

What about the candy? There’s a candy store called “Old Fashioned Fudge”, and they have 30 different types of fudge. Mmmmmm fudge.

Sellin’ some Grizzly Gold for a Jelly Belly

Hello, The Funny One here yet again. I just finished the funny pictures for the funny newspaper. Yeah! I just have to write something for them and that’s it. I’m sure it won’t take long. Hooray!

Ok, today’s state is Montana. In the pic, I’m at the Last Chance Tours which is home of the Last Chance Tour Trains and Trolley. It looks great! http://www.lctours.com/ There’s also the Last Chance Ranch. Ooooh, you can also have a wagon ride dinner. Mmmmmm wagon ride dinner. http://lastchanceranch.biz/

What about museums in Montana? There’s the World Museum of Mining. For the first time in the history of Butte, those who lost their lives in a mining, mill/smelter, concentrator, or railroad accident are now memorialized there at the World Museum of Mining. Four memorial walls have been constructed of polished black granite slabs, are sand-blasted with the names of over 2,500 men that lost their lives in the Silver Bow Mining District since 1865.

Another interesting place is The Mineral Museum, which, as you can kinda guess by the title, has lost of minerals. They wouldn’t notice if one went missing, would they? Another cool place to check out is The Historical Museum at Fort Missoula They have over 600 WWII posters available. Check out their website http://www.fortmissoulamuseum.org/ The Museum of the Rockies is home to one of the biggest and most important dinosaur collections in the world.

If you love wild animals then these places might be of interest: The Montana Grizzly Encounter is a Rescue & Education for Grizzly Bears center. It was Founded in 2004 and provides a spacious and natural home for rescued grizzlies. The Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center ” is home to 8 wolves that live in two different packs and it’s also home to grizzly bears from as far away as Alaska and as close as Yellowstone National Park. In Gates Of The Mountains, you will see many birds and animals.”

Oh, there is also a Blue Jewel Mine. It operates from mid-April through the first freeze of the season. The Blue Jewel Mine is a great place to spend an afternoon mining for sapphires and gold. I wouldn’t say no to having some free sapphires!!

As I love candy, I couldn’t not mention where you can buy some – The Montana Candy Emporium!! They even sell Jelly Belly. Mmmmmm Jelly Belly.
