#52 Mambo Tango

I’m in a bar in Argentina. Instead of doing the mambo like the rest, me and the bar man do the tango. So we start a new craze, the mambo tango. But I just got the idea from Che Guevara. There was a farewell party for him and everyone was doing the mambo but Che danced the tango instead. So this is where the name Mambo Tango came from. His raft was then named their Mambo Tango. I’ll be visiting a new country tomorrow. I’ll finish here for tonight.

Hello Funny One here with some funny pictures of transvestites. The first one is of Justin Bieber. Today is her period and she is wearing extra absorbent sanitary pads. She didn’t want anyone to know. Well it’s not that obvious is it. Hehehehehe!

And the second picture is of Adela Hernandez, 48, who is from Cuba. Hernandez, a Cuban man who has dressed up as a female since childhood. He  served two years in prison in the 1980s for “dangerousness” after her own family denounced her sexuality. This month she made history by becoming the first known transgender person to hold public office in Cuba, winning election as a delegate to the municipal government of Caibarien in the central province of Villa Clara. There was a ban of pink clothing at the public office, and that has now been lifted. Now Adela can be let in.

Jelly-Bean Dreamin’ of California

Hello it’s the Funny One here. Today’s state is California. In one picture, I’m with a famous actor who I think will one day win an Oscar. The other one is me and him in Berkeley. Come for the culture, stay for the food.

What is there to do in California? You can visit the Universal Studios in Hollywood and see where they make the movies. I can’t go on the tour as I’ll be busy filming for a Spielberg movie. Hehehehehe. Maybe, one day. Anyways, You can see where all the famous actors have left there handprints in the ground. There’s also the Hollywood Museum where you will see exhibits of authentic Hollywood memorabilia treasures and a special Walk of Fame exhibit.

There’s also the GRAMMY Museum which celebrates the enduring legacies of all forms of music. The GRAMMY Museum debuted a new exhibit to Michael Jackson on June 25, 2011, and it pays tribute to his life and legacy. The display is a follow-up to the Museum’s past exhibitions, Michael Jackson: HIStyle and Michael Jackson: A Musical Legacy. It is housed on the Museum’s third floor, which the launch of the new exhibit coinciding with the second anniversary of MJ’s death.

The Cartoon Art Museum; exhibits pieces that represent the history of modern development of cartoons, their creators, the designs, and also processes underlying the art forms of cartoons, comics, digital animation, illustration, and video games. The Museum also hosts dozens of events throughout the year, including book signings, creator appearances, lectures and workshops. They also offer a wide range of programs and classes in cartooning, illustration, and animation. That would be cool to do.

Let’s not forget the Golden Gate Bridge which is one of the most internationally recognized symbols of San Francisco, California. It’s has also been declared one of the modern Wonders Of The World by the American Society Of Civil Engineers. It’s also seen in the movie “Rise of The Planet Of The Apes.”

There’s Alcatraz prison; which once was home to some of America’s most notorious criminals. There were even the presence of infamous inmates like Al “Scarface” Capone, and the “Birdman” Robert Stroud. It operated there from 1934 to 1963. Even to this day, Alcatraz is best known as one of the world’s most legendary prisons. There was even a TV series about the prison. It’s a crime that they’re not doing a second series!

There’s also the Jelly Belly factory. There’s a 40-minute walking tour of the factory and a guide will show you where they cook up over 150 different sweet treats. Also, you’ll learn the secrets to how they create the legendary Jelly Belly jelly bean, and why it takes more than a week to make a single bean. Really? It must take forever to make a bag of them. I wonder if they still sell the Harry Potter jelly beans in America. They only sold them in Britain when the first movie was in the cinema. Mmmm jelly belly. http://jellybelly.com/

Champagne Bubbles and Popcorn Delights

Hello, It’s me the Funny One. Me and my sister watched Sylvester Stallone movies today. We watched Rocky, Rocky 2 and the Expendables. He really is talented. Rocky Balboa is a really likeable character. I really need to get a job in a pet shop! I’m going to have to watch the rest of the Rocky movies soon.

Today’s state is Colorado. The picture is of me in a hot air balloon, I’m not alone in it as you can see. Hehehehe. The hot air balloon rides take place in the morning, and you can see some of the most wonderful views of Colorado. There’s even a post-flight champagne toast. Mmmmm champagne. Who doesn’t like champagne?

The Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave – the museum has exhibits that focus on the life, times and legacy of William “Buffalo Bill” Cody, telling the story of Buffalo Bill and how his legacy developed. Don’t forget to go to the gift shop for some souvenirs. They have mugs, t-shirts and other stuff. There’s also a cafe. They have homemade fudge. Mmmmm homemade fudge.

The Denver Firefighters Museum  has been housed in the original Firehouse Number 1 ever since 1909. go there and  explore over a century of historical artifacts, fascinating exhibits in  the Museum!

There’s the One Hundred Gold Mine Tour. In 1872, the three Neigold brothers arrived from Germany and staked their claim on the “Number Seven” vein. Reinhard, Gustave, and Otto Neigold then spent the next 30 years prospecting and developing the veins on Galena Mountain. Either before or after the tour, you can pan for real silver, gold and semi-precious gemstones in the sluice boxes outside the mine. And the best bit is that you get to keep what you find!

There’s the Molly Brown House Museum, the home of Titanic survivor Margaret Tobin Brown. It’s one of only a few history organizations in Denver that provides both on-site and off-site educational programming. Included in the guided tours of Margaret “Molly” Brown’s home is an environmental theater program that brings Victorian literature to life, and etiquette teas that lets us know about the cultural customs of the Victorian era. The Off-site traveling programs will include mining, the industrial revolution, the science of restoration, and civic activism.

The Colorado Railroad Museum. Did you know that the main museum building was completed in 1959 and resembles an 1880-era small town railroad depot. The Depot Museum has thousands of rare photographs, artifacts and documents illustrating the colorful history of the railroads which have served Colorado for over 125 years.

Six-Pack of Deliciousness!!!

Hello, It’s the Funny One here. Today me and my sister went to the cinema and saw the movie “Diary Of A Wimpy Kid – Dog Days” again. We’ve seen it five times now. I also got my hands on Rocky’s Six pack!!! I bought a six-pack of the Rocky movies. I’m going to watch them tomorrow. Can’t wait! Today’s state is Massachusetts. I’m in a lot of cranberries! There’s an Ocean Spray Cranberry World in Massachusetts. If you go on a trip to the visitor center, you will find out all about cranberries. There are many exhibits, interactive displays and lots of very interesting facts. Apparently outside there is a cranberry bog!

The Basketball Hall Of Fame has more than 40,000 square feet of basketball history. It’s an appropriate shrine to the game Dr. Naismith invented more than a century ago. And there’s also a gift shop to get some souvenirs. Go there and have a ball!

There’s the Animagic Museum of Animation where you can create your own animated movie. In two hours, you will create your model, make an animation movie, record your movie on the computer, add sound, music, and title and have your movie uploaded to YouTube. Cool!

The New England Pirate Museum is the most fun-filled place in Salem! It’s unique and little-known history of New England sea-robbers comes alive at the Pirate Museum. Arrrrr!

The American Textile Museum tells America’s story through the art, history, and science of textiles. They also have the world’s largest and most important collections of tools, spinning wheels, hand looms, and early production machines plus more than five million pieces of  textile prints, fabric samples, rolled textiles coverlets, and costumes.

The Higgins Armory Museum in Worcester is the place where you can explore and enjoy at your own pace. You will discover shields, swords, staff weapons, and over 35 suits of armor. Don’t forget to visit to the special exhibit and Quest Gallery. There’s also a gift shop where you can buy books and journals to reproduction armor and models of catapults. The museum also offers a range of classes that include the knightly long sword, rapier, dueling saber, staff weapons, and more.

The Boston Pizza Tours offers a unique walking tour where you will explore Boston’s most Historic neighborhoods and you’ll also get pizza. Mmmmm pizza. Chicago has Deep-Dish style Pizza, Detroit has a unique Twice-Baked style, and New Yorkers prefer Thin-Crust slices that easily fold. There isn’t a defined “Boston Style” Pizza, but you will be introduced you to a Thriving local Pizza scene with a bit more Flavor!

Even Cowgirls Ride The Trains

Hello, I’m back! Today’s state is Wyoming. I have drawn myself as a cowgirl. The Cowgirls of the West Museum is an organization that is dedicated to preserving the heritage and the very important role that women played in the taming and settling of the wild, rough & tumble West; The Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum is where you can learn all about the history of the world’s largest outdoor rodeo and where Western celebration comes alive; Gear up to explore at the Greater Yellowstone region with a stop at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center where “Celebrating the Spirit of the American West” is what they do every day!; The Grand Encampment Museum, another good choice, is located in Encampment, Wyoming. The history is preserved with its collection of over a dozen historical buildings filled with artifacts representing the timber, mining, and agricultural history of the Encampment valley.

The Wyoming Dinosaur Center Complex is a must for those who love discovering old relics! It includes a world-class museum, some dinosaur dig sites, a preparation laboratory and an incredible gift shop; The Cheyenne Depot Museum tells the story of the establishment of Cheyenne during the construction of the Transcontinental Railroad, the operation of the Union Pacific Railroad and the history of the construction of the Union Pacific Depot; The Wyoming State Museum is an educational, historical and cultural institutions dealing with the natural history of Wyoming and the Wild West. Yee-hah!!!

Sitting in Parked Cars in Nebraska

Hello, Funny One here. I wrote one funny article today and I just have to do one more, which I think I’ll do tomorrow. Ok, so today’s state is Nebraska. The picture is of me at the Carhenge. It replicates Stonehenge, and is made of a circle of cars, 3 standing trilithons within the circle, the heel stone, slaughter stone, and 2 station stones, and the Aubrey circle, which is named after Sir John Aubrey who first recognized the earthworks and great stones as a prehistoric temple in 1648.

Ok, I’m going to start off with trains. If you visit the Oregon Trail Wagon Train you will get to try a real campfire cookout. Cool! I wonder if they sing campfire songs? You will be taken back in time where you can experience what it was like to live back in the days of 1850. Enjoy the Old West! It sounds like fun. There’s also the Stolley Park Railway where you will have two trips around Stolley Park on Central Nebraska’s only life-size garden-scale railroad. There is also a candy store there, The Sweet Tooth Shop, which is available to park goers offering a wide range of delicious treats like popcorn, cookies and cotton candy. Mmmmm cotton candy. The Rock Island Depot Railroad Museum is two-storeys and is an historic stop that’s definitely going to impress. The Rock Island Railroad Depot is one of two remaining brick Rock Island Railroad Depots in Nebraska. It is also the largest depot that is still in existence between Chicago and Denver.

Do you want to know more about the history of Nebraska? Well, there are many places to visit, such as The Great Platte River Road Archway. From the year 1843 to 1869, nearly half a million men, women and children rode and walked the trails to the West Coast. The sky was overwhelming and the mountains and wildlife were like nothing they had ever seen before. These pioneers persevered with a strong will and a lot of determination, and they carried their cherished belongings in wagons or strapped to burros; and they also pushed or floated hand carts over mountains, rivers and valleys. All who took the trip were changed by it. Those early pioneers were shaped by what they saw and experienced, and they have provided America to be a heritage that is a living spirit that molds the nation’s character today. If you visit The Pioneer Village you will see a priceless steam carousel, 17 historic flying machines and you will marvel at 100 antique tractors. There’s also the world’s oldest Buick, a 1902 Cadillac and a 1903 Ford, both designed by Henry Ford, plus 350 other antique cars, all displayed in their order of development. The Nebraska History Museum is where you can see fascinating artefacts and hear some amazing stories from the rich history of Nebraska. The Museum of the Fur Trade is a museum that is dedicated to preserving the rich history of the North American fur trade. It’s located three miles east of Chadron and stands on the site of James Bordeaux’s trading post which was established for the American Fur Company in 1837.

Here are some other interesting places to go: The Nebraska Firefighters Museum. The hottest place in Nebraska! There is also El Museo Latino, which is one of only 11 Latino museums in the United States. Well, I’ll leave it there for now. Hasta luego.

There’s Nothing Wimpy about South Dakota!!!

Hello, Funny One here. I went to the cinema with my mom and sisters to see the movie “Diary Of A Wimpy Kid 3 – Dog Days” today. It’s so funny! I loved the scene where Rodrick gets the kiss of life from some bald guy! hahahaha You should go see it! It was really busy there. Someone made a shitty smell. I mean really shitty! Think of a really bad shitty smell and times it by ten, then double it! Plus, add a skunk fart and a hint of baby-bio then you’ve got it. Speaking of shit, I almost bought a huge poster of Justin Bieber. I know what you’re thinking. Why the hell would I buy a Justin Bieber poster? I was buying more Batman and Spiderman posters today and the Batman and Bieber ones got mixed up. They both had the number 3 on them. I only discovered it was the wrong poster when I noticed a check shirt on it. Anyways, I put it back and got the right one. Phew!

What can you do in South Dakota? You can see Mount Rushmore. On the 4th of July, there is a firework display from the top of the monument. That would be super cool to see!

You want to know more about the history of South Dakota, then you can visit these places: The Broken Boot Gold Mine, where informed guides will show you where the miners pursued gold ore veins with black powder and candlelight. Also there is the Four Mile Old West Town, Black Hills Caverns, Black Hills Mining Museum, and The Mitchell Prehistoric Indian Village, which is the only archaeological site in South Dakota that is open to the public. You should definitely go then. Visitors to the site will be able to see the many artifacts that have been excavated during the annual digs. You will even be able to have a tour to see the dig site itself in the comfort of the Thomsen Center Archeodome.

What about teddy bears? If you do there’s the Teddy Bear Town,  and is home to the Guinness World Record’s “Largest Teddy Bear Collection.”  There are over 7,500 different Teddy Bears. Different colors and sizes. It is also listed in Ripley’s Believe It or Not.

There’s even a Corn Palace. It’s open all year round and it’s FREE to visit. I’ll have to go and visit then. It’s never completely bare, so you can always see a building that is the World’s Largest Bird Feeder! Also you can get a Corn Palace T-shirt, Caramel Apple Cobs and even some Corn on the Cob Soap. http://www.cornpalace.org/

What about the candy? There’s a candy store called “Old Fashioned Fudge”, and they have 30 different types of fudge. Mmmmmm fudge.

Sellin’ some Grizzly Gold for a Jelly Belly

Hello, The Funny One here yet again. I just finished the funny pictures for the funny newspaper. Yeah! I just have to write something for them and that’s it. I’m sure it won’t take long. Hooray!

What about museums in Montana? There’s the World Museum of Mining. For the first time in the history of Butte, those who lost their lives in a mining, mill/smelter, concentrator, or railroad accident are now memorialized there at the World Museum of Mining. Four memorial walls have been constructed of polished black granite slabs, are sand-blasted with the names of over 2,500 men that lost their lives in the Silver Bow Mining District since 1865.

Another interesting place is The Mineral Museum, which, as you can kinda guess by the title, has lost of minerals. They wouldn’t notice if one went missing, would they? Another cool place to check out is The Historical Museum at Fort Missoula They have over 600 WWII posters available. If you love wild animals then these places might be of interest: The Montana Grizzly Encounter is a Rescue & Education for Grizzly Bears center. It was Founded in 2004 and provides a spacious and natural home for rescued grizzlies. The Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center ” is home to 8 wolves that live in two different packs and it’s also home to grizzly bears from as far away as Alaska and as close as Yellowstone National Park. In Gates Of The Mountains, you will see many birds and animals.”

Oh, there is also a Blue Jewel Mine. It operates from mid-April through the first freeze of the season. The Blue Jewel Mine is a great place to spend an afternoon mining for sapphires and gold. I wouldn’t say no to having some free sapphires!!

As I love candy, I couldn’t not mention where you can buy some – The Montana Candy Emporium!! They even sell Jelly Belly. Mmmmmm Jelly Belly.

Chocolate Rivers in Washington

Hello, Funny One here. I was supposed to be going out to see the movie Spiderman, but as life is shit, something happened and we couldn’t go. I just stayed in and drew some pictures.

Today’s state is Washington. I always thought Washington D.C. was in Washington, but it’s not. It’s not even in a state, it’s between the states of Maryland and Virginia. The picture I drew is of me at a party at the Space Needle. The good thing about having a party up there is you won’t disturb anyone with the noise!

What is there to do in Washington apart from discover that the White House isn’t there?!? Well, there is there is the Space Needle, of course. Tourists will love to ride the ducks!  The hilarious, coast guard-ceritified maritimecaptains will take you on an adventure tour of Seattle and they will also narrate information, dance to the music and quack you up with some jokes and comedy. Then splash into the water to cruise on the lake and view the Seattle skyline.

Nature lovers will adore Mount Rainier National Park, and if you like the water, you could go to the Annual Seattle Boat Show. If, like me, you love ice cream, then you’ll want to go to Molly’s Moon’s Homemade Ice Cream Shop. The flavors there sound delicious! Everyone should go to Red Mill burgers in Seattle. They have meat and vegetarian burgers. Yum!

Why not visit Poulsbo? Poulsbo has a long history as a destination for immigrants from Norway and Finland. It maintains its Scandinavian theme with its shops and restaurants. If you want a great Washington vacation destination with a Western flair then visit Winthrop. If you love wolves, then you’ll want to see the Wolf Haven International.  I wouldn’t mind going.

Go to the Olympic Game Farm and you’ll see many different animals. If you want to know more about the history and cultural then you can visit Yakama Nation Museum and Cultural Heritage. Or you can step back in time with a visit to the Chehalis-Centralia Railroad museum and railroad. Some interesting museums to visit are the Future of Flight Aviation Center & Boeing Tour, the Naval Undersea Museum, The Museum of Glass and the Whale Museum. You’ll have a whale of a time! The Museum of Flight looks cool, it’s one of the largest air and space museums in the world. Cool! I’m on the next flight over (no pun intended!) I wouldn’t mind going to the Seattle Metropolitan Police Museum. It’s the largest police museum in the western U.S. However, One place I have to go to is the Savor Seattle Food Tour. The Chocolate Indulgent Tour looks good, too. Mmmmmm chocolate. I’ll leave it there. I’m hungry, I’ll go look for some chocolate!
