funnyone - canadian affair part 4

Snidely Whiplash wanted the gold from the gold rush, instead Dudley Do-Right gave him gold things he owns. He used the gold to buy steps memorabilia. he is then hit over the head and is unconscious. A mother is with her son, she thinks he’s a drunk. What will happen next? Where is the Funny One? Why Do I need to explain the cartoon just below it? Not sure? To get a higher word count? Anyways, to find out what will happen next, come back tomorrow.

What are the Funniest Books?

Hello Funny One here. I just discovered the Bastarde books. Serge Bastarde Ate My Baguette: On the Road in Real Rural France and Son of Serge Bastarde: Mayhem in the Antiques Markets of Rural France. The first book, Serge Bastarde Ate My Baguette, John, who moves to France to start up as an antiques dealer, but he doesn’t count on meeting Serge Bastarde. The lovable rogue and brocanteur (secondhand goods dealer) offers to teach John the tricks of the trade in return for help in a series of corrupt schemes. As the pair travel through markets and farmhouses, they con hearty lunches from old peasants and get into scrapes with priceless collectibles. The book is filled with eccentric characters and unlikely adventures, this is a hilarious romp through the real rural France. The son of Serge Bastarde is about John’s unscrupulous yet affable partner in crime, Serge Bastarde, marries and moves to Martinique. But, like a bad penny, Serge returns, his personal life in ruins. What follows is a chaotic adventure which sees John being coerced into striking deals with the Romanian ‘mafia¡’, re-roofing a huge Basque house and getting trapped in a skip in the dead of night, while Serge rides an emotional roller coaster. Serge may be as fake as some of his antiques but, with John’s help, he eventually strikes gold in this laugh-out-loud romp. It makes me wonder if there are any other good funny books out there. I wouldn’t mind knowing. What are the funniest books? Well I love the Diary Of A Wimpy Kid series. So funny. Captain Underpants. George and Harold hypnotize their headteacher and accidentally create the greatest superhero in the history of their school — Captain Underpants! His real identity is so super secret that even HE doesn’t know who he is… but he’s fighting for truth, justice, and all things pre-shrunk and cottony!! Captain Underpants has wedgie-power on his side, and he’s coming your way! Super Diaper Baby is also super funny. A man is turned into a poo. I don’t know whats more funny than that? The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists is also a great book. It’s 1837, and the luxuriantly bearded Pirate Captain and his pirate crew, life on the high seas has gotten a little dull. They get bored and decide it’s time fort another adventure. A surprisingly successful boat raid leads them to the young Charles Darwin, in desperate need of their help. The pirates go to London in a bid to save the scientist from the evil machinations of an evil Bishop. I loved the movie. In the movie the Queen of England is in it instead of the evil bishop. Also another funny book is “The Twits” by Roald Dahl. Mr and Mrs Twit are extremely mean, so the Muggle-Wump monkeys and the Roly-Poly bird hatch a clever plan to give them just the horrifying surprise they deserve! J K Rowling’s new novel “The Casual Vacancy” is a dark comedy. I haven’t read it but I’ll be reading it soon. What are the funniest books? If anyone knows of any good humor books then I would love to know about them. Anyways, I thought as I’m writing about funny books I thought I would turn myself into a wimpy kid character. I also turned Andy Samberg into one too. Hehehehe!

Yo Ho Ho and a Box of Cookies!!!

Hello, Funny one here. My state for today is Maryland. I’m with an elephant at the Lexington Market. Join them for one of Baltimore’s most interesting traditions, “Lunch with the Elephants.” The elephants are greeted by many adoring fans, live music and circus clowns. When they arrive, they are treated to the world’s largest stand up vegetarian buffet. They eat 1100 oranges, 700 bananas, 1000 apples, 400 pears, 500 heads of lettuce and 500 carrots. Baltimore is the only city in the United States to host this event on a yearly basis.

What about places for people to eat? There’s some interesting restaurants to go and eat. Sabatino’s Italian restaurant. What would I order? For starters, fried mozzarella, garlic bread and  fresh mozzarella with tomatoes. For the main meal, a fettuccine alfredo which is homemade fettuccine noodles served in their famous butter, cream and cheese sauce.  And for dessert I would have the tiramisu. To drink, I would have Chianti. Another cool place is One-Eyed Mike which is a pirate themed restaurant. What would I order? The Baked Brie, which is warm baked brie topped with oven-roasted almonds and a raspberry Melba sauce and the pecan-encrusted salmon. It’s an eight ounce salmon filet encrusted with pecans and finished with a maple glaze, served over wild rice and the vegetable of the day. What would I drink? They don’t have Chianti, so I would probably have the Fourteen Hands Merlot. But being a pirate themed restaurant, maybe they should serve rum. Still on food, there is a shop that sells yummy cookies, “Bundles of Cookies”.  They even have yummy whoopie pies. Mmmmm whoopie pies.

Back to pirates, there is the Urban Pirates. They let you go on the pirate ship with your own grog and you can act like a pirate!  Also staying with boats, there is the “Historic Ships In Baltimore” The USS Torsk looks super cool! It’s one of two tench class submarines that are still located in the United States. It has the nickname “Galloping Ghost of the Japanese Coast.” In 1945, the Torsk made two war patrols off Japan, sinking one cargo vessel and two coastal defense frigates. The latter of these, torpedoed on 14 August 1945 and was the last enemy ship sunk by the U.S. Navy in World War II.

Other fun places to go are the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. It’s home to the nation’s largest organization of combined scientists, engineers and technologists that build spacecraft, instruments and new technology to study the Earth, the sun, our solar system, and the Universe. The National Museum of Civil War Medicine is where you can find out about what medicines they used during the Civil War. Plus there is The Fire Museum of Maryland, which is where they have the third largest collection on display of any fire museum in the world. Among the collection are 42 antique fire apparatus, memorabilia, fire-fighting equipment, models, and photographs.

The Lone Wolf

Hello, It’s me again. Today’s picture is Minnesota. I didn’t know this but they have turtle racing there. Cool! They also have an International Wolf Center and some caves. Anyways, I finished my letter and I scanned some funny pictures for the newspaper on the computer but I hadn’t realized I fucked up. I made a spelling mistake on it. Shit. Of course when I saw it, I crumpled up the picture. Some days it feels like you’re getting nowhere. Anyways, what to do in Minnesota? Go for a ride in a hot air balloon!  Look at the amazing views of the landscape of Minnesota. Or you could take a ride in a helicopter. If you don’t like heights then you can go on the Steamboat Minniehaha. I wouldn’t say no to going on it. The website is http://www.steamboatminnehaha.org. Take an Amish tour and you’ll be transported back to life in 1800’s. Horses and buggies, kerosene lamps and wood burning stoves. That would be interesting. There’s also the Mystery Cave Tour. It’s the longest cave in Minnesota. It’s over 13 miles underground. You will see the many features the make up the cave like stalactites, stalagmites, fossils, flowstone and underground pools. That must be amazing to see. There is a huge statue of the Jolly Green Giant. He’s 55ft tall. The statue went up on the 6th July in 1979. That would be cool to visit. There’s the Giant Museum Featuring Jolly Green Giant Memorabilia. (For legal reasons) Here’s the website of the Green Giant. http://www.jollygreengiant.co.uk/.
